Welcome to the Ellenville Mountain Running Festival!

Join us at the Ellenville Mountain Running Festival for a rugged 16-mile run to the top of the ridge!  For 2017, the race will consist of a single division 16-mile route that starts and finishes at Berme Road Park in scenic Ellenville, NY, just a short 2-hour drive from NYC.  The course is designed for the adventurous and self-reliant, with a mix of runnable carriage-roads, rugged single-track, and steep climbs and descents.  Along the way, you’ll climb to the highest point in the Shawangunk Mountains, experience a unique ecosystem identified by the Nature Conservancy as “one of Earth’s last great places,” and take in magnificent 6-state, 100 mile+ vistas, including spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley.  In keeping with the adventurous format, we’ll provide maps to guide participants along the course (which is well-signed) but there won’t be any supplemental markings (paying attention is part of the challenge!).  Aid will be limited to water, but we’ll provide food, drink, and music at the festive finish line, and a coupon for a free beer (or other drink) at nearby Aroma Thyme Bistro.  First through third place, male and female, will receive distinctive awards.
